The Goal:

The goal of FindIt @ NAU was to create a centralized and user-friendly platform that simplifies the lost and found process across campus. The project aimed to replace inefficient methods like word-of-mouth and bulletin boards with a searchable, secure, and reliable digital system. From my role, the primary goal was to design and implement a clean, intuitive frontend that allowed users to easily create posts, browse listings, and claim items without friction.

The Challenge:

The main challenge was building a complete frontend interface that supported multiple user flows while remaining simple and intuitive. This included designing layouts for item listings, post creation forms, detailed item views, and claim workflows. Additional challenges included ensuring responsive behavior across screen sizes, integrating image uploads and form validation, and aligning frontend interactions with backend APIs. Testing and iterating on UI behavior was critical to ensure the system worked reliably and felt natural to users.

The Result

The final result is a fully deployed, functional lost and found web application with a polished and responsive frontend. Users can create posts, upload images, search and filter listings, and securely claim items through a structured workflow. The project successfully demonstrates my ability to design and build complete frontend systems, collaborate within a team environment, and deliver a real-world web application that supports practical campus use.
